CE MARKING
The EU is an economic and political union of 28 countries. It operates an internal (or single) market which allows free movement of goods, capital, services and people between member states.

To Gain Entry into the European Union
Electrical equipment sold into the European Union (EU) must bear a CE Marking signifying it meets applicable regulatory codes and standards before it can be put into service.Customs officials are the first level of enforcement of this regulation. Equipment without a CE Marking and Declaration of Conformity as required by the Directives is stopped from entering the EU and reaching its destination
For more information about CE Marking regulations and for a list of all new approach directives refer to the following EU webpage: http://ec.europa.eu/growth/single-market/ce-marking_en
In order to place a CE marking on your product, it is necessary to confirm compliance of the equipment to all applicable New Approach Directives falling under the CE Marking umbrella.
